2008 Dodge Viper

The 2008 Dodge Viper has gotten a major improvement to the model lineup in the form of a redesigned massive 8.4L V-10 engine producing an incredible 600HP and 560FTLB of torque. Power is still routed to the rear-wheels and comes with the famed TR6060 6-speed manual transmission.

Performance stats this time are much improved over the previous years’ Vipers, with a 0-60MPH time of 3.5 seconds, 0-100MPH in only 7.6 seconds and a blazing quarter-mile time of 11.6 seconds at 128mph. Engine improvements include better flowing heads, larger valves and variable valve timing on the exhaust cam lobes along with the dual electronic throttle bodies.

The electrical system on the 2008 Dodge Viper has been completely redone for efficiency with a 180-amp alternator, twin electric cooling fans, electronic throttle bodies a new VENOM engine management system.
